The SEC Imbizo events will be held in four provinces this May, kicking off in the Western Cape on 14 May at the Observatory Community Centre in Cape Town. The roadshow will then move to Gauteng on 16 May at the Johannesburg Children's Home, followed by the Eastern Cape on 21 May at the B and E Conference Centre in Gqeberha. The final stop in this round of events will be in KwaZulu-Natal on 23 May, with the venue to be confirmed.

"The Social Enterprise Connect Imbizo is a powerful opportunity for social entrepreneurs to enhance their pitching skills and connect with potential investors," said Chester Alexander, SEC Community Manager. "By providing this opportunity for collective engagement and problem-solving, we aim to facilitate collaborations and partnerships that will drive positive social impact across the country."

The Imbizo events will feature a Pitching Mastery session, networking opportunities, and a Pitching Competition judged by a panel of stakeholders. This will give social entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their innovative solutions and access potential investment opportunities.

"The Imbizo is a unique opportunity for social enterprises to come together, share their ideas, and build connections that can transform their ventures," added Alexander. "I encourage all social entrepreneurs, whether they're just starting out or well-established, to attend these events and be a part of this exciting movement."

The Social Enterprise Connect Imbizo events are open to all social entrepreneurs and are hosted free of charge with the support of the IDC and Social Enterprise Academy South Africa. The organisers are excited to welcome social enterprises from across South Africa and look forward to facilitating meaningful connections and partnerships.

The roadshow events are brought to you free of charge by the Social Enterprise Academy South Africa and the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC).
