| Ruen Govinder | SEC Blog

Get ready to embark on an inspiring journey with Social Enterprise Connect as we kick off the next series of our Social Enterprise Connect National Roadshow events from 17 – 26 October in Gqeberha, Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Social Enterprise Academy launched this community for social entrepreneurs two years ago, commissioned by and in partnership with the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). Social Enterprise Connect communities are now active and have been launched in all 9 provinces across South Africa.

This series of roadshows will focus on helping social entrepreneurs understand their value proposition. A well-defined value proposition is essential for social entrepreneurs because it not only clarifies their mission but also helps them attract support, make a greater impact and sustain their efforts over the long term.

After attending a previous roadshow in Durban, Ncumisa Mfenqa, Organisation: Beyond Dreams Mentoring said: “This programme lit a fire beneath me that refuses to allow me to sit still. As a result, I have picked up momentum. I am looking forward to connecting with individuals that will bring fresh perspectives or innovation in benefiting the youth, women and children.”
